About the MRCC

Our unique, data-driven approach to winning back the legislature.

Our Unique Focus

The Marlborough Republican City Committee is unique among Republican committees in that we focus our efforts state wide on electing conservative candidates to the state legislature. We don’t spend our time focusing on statewide races at the top of the ticket.

Our efforts are driven by an in-depth statistical analysis of prior election results to determine which legislative districts are competitive and lean Republican, and are currently represented by liberal Democrats with voting records out of step with their districts.

The Good News: Data-Driven Victories

In 2010 when Scott Brown won his January 19 special election for US Senate, he won 109 state House districts out of 160. When Charlie Baker won in 2014, he won 93 legislative districts, and when he ran for re-election in 2018, he won over 110 districts, proving we can reach the magic number of 54 to sustain a gubernatorial veto.

In fact, if you rank the state legislative districts 1 to 160, with #1 being most Republican and #160 being the least, extremely competitive districts stretch into the 60s, and we have elected Republicans in districts as far down as #91.

Our Process

The Marlborough City Committee carefully vets our candidates, and assists the most competitive, conservative candidates—those of high quality and principles—in the districts where we’re most likely to be successful.

Join the Effort

We need your help to provide boots on the ground in key places to make a difference again this year. Join with us and other excited volunteers statewide to put conservative legislative candidates over the top.
